Terms
These are plain-language terms for a Hookline instance. If you run your own instance, you are its operator: replace this page with terms reviewed for your organization.
The software#
Hookline is free software under the GNU General Public License v3.0. These terms cover using this instance, not the code.
Your account#
Keep your credentials safe and tell us if you suspect someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens in the organizations you own, including what members and API keys do there.
Acceptable use#
Do not use Hookline to:
- capture data you have no right to receive, or trick people into sending it (for example phishing pages served from configured responses);
- distribute malware or illegal content, or host content through endpoint responses;
- attack, scan or overload other systems through destinations, replays or tunnels;
- get around plan limits, rate limits or security controls, or access other people's data.
The instance's administrators may disable endpoints or accounts that break these rules, and may do so without notice when other people are at risk.
Your data#
Requests you capture are yours. We process them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy page. Do not send data to Hookline that you are not allowed to share with a service provider.
Plans and payment#
Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel them from the billing page. When a plan ends, the organization returns to the Free plan, and history older than its retention is deleted.
Availability#
We work to keep Hookline available and your data safe, and we publish the live status. The service is provided as is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.
Changes#
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced before they take effect. If you keep using Hookline after that, you accept the new terms.
